JUNGLE BOGIE
Jungle Boogie brings together traditions from Afro-Caribbean cultures with existing dance and music styles in a professional running dance theater performance
In 2018, Rajiv Baghwanbali (Connecting the Culture Foundation) and Remses Rafaela organized the first edition of 'Jungle Boogie' and have rightly called themselves the innovative part of the Summer Carnival. After Priscilla Rehaen (dancer of Jungle Boogie) won the Summer Carnival Queen election, she broke with the tradition during the parade that the Queen watches the parade from the float. She joined her dance group to be close to the audience. Jungle Boogie also won 1st place for best show and 2nd place for best costume as a newcomer. With a lot of positive reactions, Jungle Boogie has proven that by creating a high-quality professional dance theater production, they have given the Summer Carnival the impulse it needed.
