Being able and daring to appropriate one's own origin and (cultural) identity is important in our work. Through theatre, dance, film and/or music we like to stimulate a dialogue in a creative way that inspires reflection, especially among young people.
Creating a positive mindset about your own identity and origin and the exchange of stories so that you understand each other better are two important parts that belong in our educational offer for young people. Through school performances and the associated educational material, we create an environment during workshops or educational processes where we, together with young people, can learn to understand ourselves and each other better.
The dance theater performance 'Mi Mama' can currently be booked as a school performance for the theater (from November 2021).

We work together with professional workshop leaders who teach from the Passion&Skillz mindset and vision. Our workshops always work from a theme and individuality and culture are central. The Afro-Caribbean DNA of Passion&Skillz is leading in everything we do. In this way we inspire cultural exchange and connection.
Because most performances are multidisciplinary, we can use more than 1 discipline to introduce children to their own creativity and imagination.
Our workshops are linked to the themes from the performance and even for the youngest a great journey of discovery into their own language, self-expression and creativity through dance, theater and music. Offering the themes and introduce them to the disciplines of the show is not only a fun way to encourage creativity and imagination but creates recognition and connection with what they will see.
We know from experience that the theater experience is most complete when the performance is combined with workshops or a series of lessons.Workshop offer:

CREATE LAB | CHANGE MAKERS
SECONDARY EDUCATION
CREATE YOUR OWN PERFORMANCE
Passion&Skillz specializes in creative projects where education, creation and culture come together. In the making lab (changemakers LAB), the young people work with a Passion&Skillz workshop leader in 6-10 sessions to create their own performance. The various skills required for this are covered along the way. The performance can contain multiple disciplines.
There is room for everyone in the manufacturing lab. Young people learn what it is like to work together towards an end result. It's actually creative teambuilding Passion&Skillz style!

Location: suitable location depending on the number of participants and with a suitable floor to move around (gym, theater or studio of Passion&Skillz)
